Xplorer: Have You Met Marie O'Brien?

Marie has developed her career by continually expanding her experience over 19 years in a wide range of roles. Her passion is doing, learning, creating and implementing new and practical ways of completing the job in the best way possible.

This has allowed Marie to work with some fantastic people in areas such as risk management, fraud prevention, ethics and values, organisational culture and development, strategic and business planning, strategic HR consulting and performance management. Her most recent role was General Manager , Australia with Mariner7 - a Carter Holt Harvey Company - that implement best practice online performance management processes within client organisations. Her quest for learning and creating, and a recent reevaluation of her career, has led Marie to pursue studies in architectural design while continuing to maintain her involvement in organisational development consulting.

As part of that work she recently joined the Xplore Team to work with talented groups of professional women who come together to examine, plan and grow their careers with the benefit of sharing common experiences with others.

In her spare time Marie enjoys spending time with her family, watching rugby, trying to keep fit and sitting in the sun sketching wonderful buildings in beautiful parts of Sydney .
