Diana Ryall

Managing Director

Diana Ryall was Managing Director at Apple Computer Australia from 1997 to 2001. While holding this position, the company was recognised by Hewitt Associates as 'Employer of the Year'. Diana stepped down from that position at the end of 2001 to expand her involvement in those areas in which she is passionate: inspiring leadership, supportive workplace cultures and the success of women.

Since leaving Apple, Diana founded the company "Xplore for Success" which offers services to organisations to support talented men and women to achieve personal success. The Xplore offerings include programs, professional coaching, interactive workshops, building in-house mentoring programs and focus groups. The Xplore programs have challenged over 2000 women and men since 2002 in organisations such as ABN Amro, American Express, CBA, Deloitte, and Dept. of Commerce. Luxottica and KPMG. Diana also offers presentations and consulting services in positive leadership, building inclusive organisational culture and senior executive coaching.

Since 2005, Diana has led the Chief Executive Women's (CEW) Talent Development Program. This program, now running in Sydney and Melbourne, offers senior women in corporate organisations the opportunity to work together over a year to increase their own diversity awareness and to take key learnings back to their organisation. The program has involved organisations such as ANZ, ASX, Australian Army, Campbell Arnott's, Deloitte, Freehills, GE, Goldman Sachs JBWere, IAG, IBM, Lion Nathan, Macquarie Bank, UBS, and Woolworths. In 2008 BHP Billiton, BlueScope Steel, Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Telstra and WorkSafe Victoria/TAC are participating.

In 2006, Diana became the Vice President of the CEW, which published the CEO Kit - for attracting and retaining female talent. Diana was proud to be one of the five authors of this document, which provides pragmatic ways to measure gender diversity initiatives and challenges organisations to better measure their current culture.

Since 2003 she has been part of the judging panel of the Australian Best Employers program run by Hewitt Associates. Since 2006, she has sat on the panel for Deloitte's Businesswomen of the year awards. Diana is also on the Diversity Council for Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Diana speaks at many events in the corporate space and also strongly supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Her passion is inclusive organisational culture, something still in short supply in Australia, and focuses her energies on making a difference in the area. She believes that an inclusive culture would make gender diversity an issue of the past.
